PRIMARY ELECTION DATES

The Primary Election for Municipal Candidates is on April 1, 2025.

Voter Registration Deadline to vote in the Primary Election is on March 3, 2025.


(Applicants who register in-person in the Municipal Clerk’s office or Circuit Clerk’s office by March 3 and those who mail registration applications post-marked no later than March 3 are eligible to vote in the April 1, 2025 Municipal Primary Elections.)

Absentee voting for the Primary Election is available at Southaven City Hall in the City Clerk’s Office Monday – Friday 8 am – 5 pm between February 18 and March 28.  Please note that City Hall will also be open for absentee voting, Saturday, March 22 and March 29 from 8 am to 12 pm.

Candidate List of Intent
This list only reflects the names of those candidates who have submitted qualifying papers to the City
 Clerk’s Office. Party committees determine whether each candidate meets the qualifications for the office sought prior to his or her name being placed on the Primary / General Election Ballot.

The General Election for Municipal Candidates is on June 3, 2025.

Voter Registration Deadline to vote in the General Election is on May 5, 2025.      

(Applicants who register in-person in the Municipal Clerk’s office or Circuit Clerk’s office by May 5 and those who mail registration applications post-marked no later than May 5 are eligible to vote in the June 3, 2025 Municipal General Election.)
