1. Do I have to obtain a business license?

The following businesses are exempt from privilege taxes, but are required to obtain a business license in the CIty:

• Insurance agents (state license required)
• Liquor stores (state license required)
• Non-profit organizations

2. Are there any businesses that have special requirements?

Yes. There are many businesses that are limited to certain zoning areas of Southaven as well as businesses that must file special applications, obtain state licenses, and/or post surety bonds to obtain a business license or otherwise do business inside the city limits of Southaven. 3. Can I get a listing of the new businesses that opened in Southaven last month?
