There are very rare instances when there are extenuating circumstances where a request may be made by the complainant to have an attorney present, but those instances are rare and usually involve criminal allegations.

Although a complaint may be filed any number of ways, the best way is to contact Internal Affairs and make an appointment. Once making an appointment, you will come to the Internal Affairs office located at 8691 Northwest Drive, the main police building, right in the front lobby.
